Fire Smoldering at Warehouse in Highland Park (MI)

A large warehouse fire still burning in Highland Park is continuing to cause problems in the area. The air quality is poor, several homes have been evacuated and several schools have also been canceled for the day, reports fox2detroit.com.

No injuries are reported from the fire, which started around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. Propane tanks and other combustibles inside the 500,000 square foot warehouse exploded throughout the day. Officials say it could be a week now before the smoke clears. Those with pre-existing lung conditions may notice a flare-up of symptoms.
