Fire Warden Hutchins Honored
Maxwell C. Hutchins, State Fire Warden of Massachusetts, recently observed the twenty-fifth anniversary of his entering the service of the Commonwealth to take charge of forest fire prevention and control work. Before coming to Massachusetts he had directed forest protection in the Adirondacks for New York State. At a meeting of the Norfolk and Bristol County Forest Fire Wardens’ Association he was presented with twenty-five silver dollars, a lounging chair, reading lamp, and smoking set. The observation tower men gave him a desk set.
