Firefighters Confront Heavy Flames at Indiana House Fire

Huge flames shoot from a residential structure as a firefighter operates at the scene.

Firefighters responded July 7, 2015, to a single-alarm fire at a home in Indianapolis, Indiana. Fire photographer Tod Parker captured some shots of members working at the scene.

Arriving firefighters found heavy fire upon arrival. Firefighters with the Indianapolis Fire Department and Pike Township Fire Department responded to this incident.

According to a report from WTHR, officials said that coals from a grill were to blame. Residents reportedly dumped the coals from the grill in to a trash can in the garage.

The residents were apparently alerted to the fire by smoke detectors.
