Two firefighters died in the United States this week, and two firefighters were killed while battling a huge wildfire in Cyprus. A firefighter in Hong Kong was killed in a self-storage facility fire. The Erskine Fire in California spurred thousands of people to flee even as other wildfires tore through Western states, and tornadoes touched down in Illinois. In addition, a devastating tornado killed almost 100 people in China.
