Fireman Gives 100 Pints Blood

Michael J. Ennis, 46-year-old driver of Philadelphia’s Fire Rescue 4 donated his 10th pint of blood Jan. 21st last at Memorial Hospital, Roxborough. “I don’t know whether it’s psychological or whether I just have an excess of blood,” he said, “I just know it makes me feel good to give blood.”

He doesn’t always know just where his donations go. Sometimes it’s to the blood bank; sometimes to fellow-members of the fire dpeartment and sometimes to “just folks” who needed it.
