Firemen’s Memorial Day Observed

Firemen’s memorial day in Massachusetts, which is fixed as the second Sunday of June, was observed this year on June 11. The annual ceremony started 30 years ago, when Boston dedicated a monument in Forest Hills Cemetery. This year over 250 towns took part, and Plymouth dedicated a plot and monument. In many of the communities there were parades and exercises.
