Firemen Stoned at Blaze

When East Syracuse, N. Y., firemen responded to an alarm for a fire in large pile of wood at LeMoyne College campus in suburban Syracuse on November 24, they were stoned by unknown persons as they attempted to extinguish it.

The wood pile was originally prepared for a pep rally to be held at the school during the evening. The East Syracuse men asked for assistance and sheriff’s deputies, Syracuse city police and Engine 19 of the Syracuse department responded.
