Grain Mill Burned

At Springfield, N. Y., October 21, the grain mill of James H. Gray was burned at 4 A. M. with a loss of about $40,000. The building was of wood construction with iron covering and was erected ten years ago. The fire was caused by overheated grain. Seven hydrant streams through 2,000 feet of hose from four double hydrants with 50 pounds pressure were on the fire. Chief Engineer Louts Smith was in command.
