HALE SPECIAL FIRE APPLIANCES.
Elsewhere in this issue will be found cuts, etc., of the Hale swinging harness and ether fire appliances manufactured by Geo. C. Hale, of Kansas City, Mo. Former Chief Hale, who for twenty-two years was head of the Kansas City fire department. is now giving all his attention to the manufacture of his swinging harness and general fire department supplies. He has recently completed the erection cf a large new factory, loeated at IIQ W. Fourteenth stre t. and has so ex tended his facilities that he is new building chief’s buggies, repairing and rebuilding apparatus, for all of which he has a complete and up-to-date plating plant. Mr. Hale has recently furnished lmggiis for the chiefs at the following points: Charlotte, N. C.: Yazoo City. Miss.; Bowling Green, Ky.; Parsons, Kan. Ffe has also orders for several more, which are being built as fast as possible. The Hale cellar and roof-pipes, Hale el curie wire-cutters, Hale tin-roof cutters and I-ittle Giant door-openers, all of which were patented and are manufactured by himself, are finding a ready market in the various fire depart merits of the country. The Hale swinging harness is now in use in over 1.800 fire departments in the United States and other countries, where it has been adopted as the standard.
