Heart of Brooklyn Shopping District Has Blaze
The illustration on this page shows the members of the New York fire department, Brooklyn Borough, fighting a fire at its height in a large garage and storage warehouse building in the heart of the uptown Brooklyn Borough shopping district, Van Buren street. The fire for a time was a very threatening one, owing to the inflammable contents, and five alarms were pulled before it was brought under control.
