Hudson Valley Firemen Meet
The thirty-fourth annual convention of the Hudson Valley Firemen’s Association was held at Beacon, N. Y., on June 19 to 21. The business sessions filled Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s program with the exception of a fire works display on Tuesday evening and a banquet at five o’clock on Wednesday evening on Mt. Beacon. The latter was followed up by a block dance in North Cedar Street, Beacon.
The officers elected for the ensuing year were; President, Philip Beichert, Kingston; First Vice-President, John J. Moy, Hudson; Second Vive-President, Joseph Dalton, Poughkeepsie; Treasurer, Andrew J. Murphy, Kingston; Secretary, Chief Charles W. Noll (re-elected); Directors, W. H. Frank, Jr., Poughkeepsie, Roscoe E. Irwin, Kingston, Samuel A. Fowler, Rensselaer, Ernest Hassinger, Saugerties, Henry Buxbury, Hudson County, Vice-President William J. Russell, for Columbia County.
The invitation extended by the city of Hudson to hold the 1924 convention there was accepted.
