IAFF Fully Supports Cochran as USFA Nominee

The International Association of Fire Fighters today sent a letter to the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs in support of Chief Kelvin J. Cochran, nominated to head the U.S. Fire Administration.

The Homeland Security Committee is scheduled to hold a hearing on Chief Cochran’s nomination tomorrow.

The letter from IAFF General President Harold Schaitberger said, in part, “Chief Cochran’s experience, understanding of emergency operations at all levels and inclusive approach to management make him uniquely qualified for the position of U.S. Fire Administrator.”
