Idaho Fire School Held

Beginning on August 16, and lasting for three days, the 12th Annual Idaho State Fire School was held at Lewiston, Idaho, under the sponsorship of the Lewiston Fire Department headed by Fire Chief Leonard Ellis, a trustee of the State Fire School Association. The three days of lectures, demonstrations and movies were conducted with the assistance of other Idaho departments, both paid and volunteer, and industrial organizations.

The association elected the following officers: President, Captain Edward Dingman, in charge of training, Atomic Energy Commission, Idaho Falls; vice president, Robert Bopp, Twin Falls Fire Department; secretary-treasurer, Battalion Chief Earl Robinson, Boise. Trustees, in addition to Chief Ellis, are: Chief Leon Sodorff, Moscow; Tony Kirkland, Buhl Fire Department; Merritt Goulding, St. Anthony Fire Department; and Chief Steve Taylor, Boise.
