Illinois Schedules Fire Seminar

Illinois State Fire Marshal William J. Cowhey has announced a one-day Seminar on Inspection of the Fire Scene for all fire service personnel in the states of Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, Iowa and the Middle West. It will be held on May 17 at the Illinois State Fair Grounds, Springfield, Ill.

John Kennedy, nationally known fire investigator, will conduct the program. It will be open without charge to all volunteer and paid fire fighters as well as insurance company personnel, insurance adjusters and other persons who have a legitimate interest in the field of fire prevention, fire investigation and determining the accurate cause and orgin of fires and explosions.

The seminar will start at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude at 5:00 p.m., with one hour for lunch.

Subjects to be covered include: Proper Method of Searching the Fire Scene; Arson Motives; Explosions; illustrated lecture on the Proper Method of Conducting Fire Investigations.
