IS IT UNLAWFUL TO WASTE WATER?

In the Superior court at Savannah, Ga., has come up for argument a question involving the constitutionality of the ordinance of council, which prescribes a penalty for allowing water to run to waste on the premises of a consumer. The case, which has been appealed from the Recorder’s court in Savannah, is that of W. W. Swinton against the city. The appellant, who was placed on the docket for allowing water to waste on his premises at 545 Maple street, on the hearing of police court, was fitted $10. He contends, however, that the ordinance under which the conviction was secured is unconstitutional in numerous particulars.
