Ishpeming Department Report
Chief John Lacey, of the fire department of Ishpeming, Mich., in his annual report to council, states that during 1915 the department responded to 14 regular alarms and 18 still alarms. The total fire loss in the city during the twelve months amounted to only $2,646. Insurance to the amount of $346 was paid. The expense of maintaining the department last year was $6,595.64, which was considerably less than for some years past. The estimated value of the buildings, supplies, etc., of the department totals $68,486.64. This includes the new fire hall, which is considered to be worth $38,800, while the old fire headquarters is figured in at $6,000 Chief Lacey recommends that 2.000 feet of 2pS-inch cotton rubber-lined hose be purchased to replace old hose at No. 3 station.
