Jersey City Cars Have Safety Glass

Since Deputy Chief Patrick Cooney of Jersey City, N. J., was severely cut by flying glass when thrown against the windshield of his automobile in a recent accident, five chiefs’ cars in that city have had their cars equipped with Triplix glass. This step was taken to prevent the repetition of such an incident.

This glass does not shatter under impact and is therefore applicable for fire department use. The glass is manufactured in Hoboken and a new factory has been established in Passaic, N. J.
