July Fire Losses
Estimated dollar losses caused by fire in the United States amounted to $148,208,000 in July, the National Insurance Actuarial and Statistical Association reported.
This was a decline of 4.2 percent compared to the July 1968 figure of $154,707,000 and a decline of 9.9 percent from the June 1969 total of $164,569,000.
Fire losses in the first seven months of 1969 total $1,142,706,000, which is 2.6 above the $1,114,011,000 registered during the first seven months of 1968.
