Keystone Chiefs’ Association Annual Meeting

At the annual meeting of the Keystone Fire Chiefs’ Association, held in Philadelphia, November 21, Ex-Chief James A. Baxter, of Philadelphia, was re-elected president. The other officers elected are: Vice-presidents. B. H. Smith, Sellersville, Pa.; A. W. Cattell, Woodbury, N. J., and Edward McCarey, Chester, Pa.; Secretary, Fred Heed, West Chester, Pa.; financial secretary, W. H. Snyder, Ashbourne, Pa., and treasurer, H. A. Foster, Glenside, Pa. The reports of officers showed the organization to be in good condition, financially and otherwise. The association was organized by seven, chiefs, November 2, 1901, and now has more than 400 members. Any chief or exchief in any state is eligible to membership, and nine states are now represented in its roll of members. Eight new members were elected at the annual meeting and its meetings are well attended. A death benefit of $100 is paid by the organization. A banquet followed the meeting.
