KNAPP IS FIRE CHIEF

Oliver Knapp, for many years assistant chief of the St. Joseph fire department, and during the illness of the late Chief P. P. Kane, acting chief, was made chief of the department, and upon his retirement from service, which will come within a short time, his place will be taken by H. G. Reagan, acting assistant chief. Leo Urbansky will become assistant chief.

Knapp has rounded out forty-seven years as a member of the department, many years of them as assistant chief. Reagan and Urbansky are both old men in the department and come from the ranks. Urbansky has been named as one of the four new district chiefs.
