Lansing Makes a Record Run.

A $20,000 fire is reported from Lansing, Mich., in which the record run of eight miles crosscountry and the good work done by the new auto engine is an important feature. Two stores and a private residence in the town of Bath were being destroyed, and the elevator, a short distance away, seemed doomed, when Lansing was telephoned to for aid. Chief Delfs immediately went to the rescue, and in twenty-three minutes after receiving word for help he had water on the fire, and the loss was kept down to the above figure.
