Lightning Causes Fire in Boiler Works
A building belonging to and occupied by the Tulsa Boiler Manufacturing Company, situated in an oilfield outside of the city of Tulsa, Okla., the locality being without available water, was recently destroyed by fire which started in the engine shed. The fire was discovered at 9 p. m. by police and burned two hours. The Tulsa fire department did not go to the fire. The fire was caused by lightning and the building, 100 by 200, constructed of corrugated iron, was a total loss, $2,000, and the contents, valued at $60,000, were damaged $45,000.
