LITTLE GIANT FIRE EXTINGUISHER.
On the afternoon of May 20 the Little Giant again displayed his powers in defeating the efforts of the fire-fiend to assert his supremacy. The test took place at the foot of Wall street—the usual battlefield, and was witnessed by a large number of insurance men, members of the fire department, busness men, and others interested in the matter. The tests on this occasion were unusually severe; but the Little Giant treated the whole thing as mere child’s play and very soon fire and smoke disappeared, and the fierce flames, fed by all sorts of combustibles, vanished, leaving the spectators to investigate what under ordinary circumstances should have been, but was not a heap of ruins.
