Louisville to Supply Outside Protection

Louisville to Supply Outside Protection

Fire protection for industrial plants located outside the City of Louisville, Ky., is planned in a measure before the City’s Board of Aldermen. Under the new setup, contracts between the city and industrial plants would provide for payment of $100 for each piece of equipment sent to a fire for the first hour, $75 for each additional hour and $25 extra if a battalion chief is sent.

Each plant, in addition, would pay an assessment of 26 cents on each $100 valuation of land, plant and machinery as appraised by the county tax receiver.
