Chief William E. Powers, Clinton, Mass., Fire Department, is receiving congratulations on the fine record of his department for 1937. The total loss by fire in this town of 14,000 population amounted to only $8,000. A clean-up campaign and fire prevention inspection work helped in achieving this low figure.
