Many Lives Lost in St. Louis Fire

As FIRE AND WATER ENGINEERING goes to press, despatches announce that the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis has been destroyed by fire, and it is feared that from thirty to forty lives have been lost. These include prominent business men of that city and visitors at the club. Many were seriously hurt by jumping from upper windows. The building is a seven-story brick structure.
