Medical Supply Plant Hit By Severe Fire

Five Los Angeles County fire companies and a rescue company fought an early morning blaze on October 13 in the Roland J. Gaupel Co., medical supply plant, on the edge of Los Angeles city.

Plant officials estimated that damage would run between $35,000 and $50,000. Battalion Chief Sam Tanksley called in arson investigators when he was unable to find an immediate cause for the fire.
