Memphis Has New Salvage Gar

A new salvage car has been added to the fire insurance patrol of Memphis, Tenn. It is mounted on a 1 1/2-ton International chassis. The body was built by the patrol. The car has a capacity for fifty tarpaulins, space for brooms, tools, etc.

It also carries a pump that is operated from house current. The pumps have a capacity of 75 g.p.d., which is used for pumping out cellars and similar duties. A large siphon is used for pumping out basements in the business district.
