Montgomery County Firemen
The annual meeting of the Montgomery County Firemen’s Association was held at Jenkintown, Pa., April 7, and the following officers elected: President, Andrew Graham, of Jenkintown; vicepresident, L. H. Foster, of Edge Hill; recording secretary, Howard Foster, of Glenside; financial secretary, J. Norman Kline, of Jenkintown; treasurer, William J. Devine, of Ambler. The association is composed of 23 volunteer companies, located in the Old York road and the North Penn sections near Philadelphia, with a total membership of more than 3,000. More than $125,000 has been expended by companies which are members ot the association in the purchase of motor fire apparatus and for fire stations involved an additional $125,000, and additional apparatus $40,000—practically $300,000 expended to protect property valuations in excess of $20,000,000, and all maintained by popular interest of the public and the citizen firemen. Plans were perfected for the first annual reunion and banquet, at Willow Grove on April 18.
Hose Company No. 1, of Highland, N. Y., will purchase a motor hose chemical wagon.
