Mr. Button Retires.

Lysander Button of Waterford, N. Y., founder of the famous engine works, retired from business during the past week. The many years of active toil spent by Mr. Button in his chosen calling have shown their effect on him, and he can enjoy the fruits of his labor in a well-earned rest. While his health permitted Mr. Button was daily at his shop and personally supervised the construction of many fire engines, now liberally distributed throughout the country and making good records. Mr. Button is a devout Presbyterian, and one of the solid, careful and conscientious citizens of the village of Waterford.
