Mueller Factory in Canada
The new Canadian factory of the H. Mueller Manufacturing Company has been incorporated under the name of H. Mueller Manufacturing Company, Limited. It is situated in the city of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, directly across the St. Clair river from Port Huron, Mich., about two miles from Lake Huron, and 60 miles from Detroit. The new structure is modern in every respect, being fireproof and constructed of reinforced concrete and steel. The factory buildings have saw tooth roof construction, and the latest ventilating devices, which insures the greatest amount of light and fresh air to workmen. The sides of buildings are practically all glass, being constructed of steel sash and ribbed glass. The brass finishing department building is 60 feet wide
by 256 feet long. The foundry building is 60 feet wide by 100 feet long, while the building on the grounds which the company purchased is 44 feet wide by 250 feet long. All of these buildings are so constructed that sections can be added to either end, should additional space be required. The new plant will be thoroughly equipped throughout to allow of the large output expected to supply the Canadian western territory, which is recognized as rapidly extending. Oscar Mueller, president and general manager of the company, and at present manager of the New York branch of the company, will be bead of the new plant, dividing his time between Sarnia and New York. This extension of the already large business of the H. Mueller Manufacturing Company shows the remarkable enterprise for which it is already well known, and will, no doubt, prove as successful as that of Decatur.
