Health & Safety Institute (HSI) announces its new Basic First Aid and CPR and AED training programs from American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI), a member of the HSI family of brands. The programs feature realistic scenario videos, full-color student handbooks in digital and print formats, and two-year certification cards for successful course completion.
These easy-to-use programs are specially designed for use in both the community and workplace setting, and are ideal for anyone who wants to learn fundamental emergency care skills. The flexible instructional design used in ASHI programs allows the instructor to customize their class to meet various teaching and learning styles.
In addition to complying with the recommendations of the 2010 International Consensus on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Science with Treatment Recommendations (CoSTR), the programs also feature a new mobile application component. The ASHI Passport gives students desktop and smartphone access to course content and skills reviews, complete with audio and video components, for anytime access to life-saving emergency care instruction. The application comes at no additional cost with every successful certification card.
“We’re pleased to present these new programs to our instructors and training centers,” explains HSI CEO Bill Clendenen. “With all-new print materials, videos filmed using the latest technology, and the ASHI Passport feature, we think these robust new programs will significantly contribute to building the confidence students need to respond in an emergency.”
