New Automobile For Detroit.
A newspaper dispatch from Detroit, Mich., says: The flying squadron, the new automobile fire company that is intended to improve firefighting as far as speed is concerned, in Detroit, is a success. Chief Harris tested the workings of the auto, and afterwards spoke in favorable terms of its efficiency. He said that it would be ready for service by the time its quarters are completed at Antoine and Larned streets. The machine is strongly constructed, with ample room for the men, extinguishers and other tools which it will carry. Its wheels are fitted with Morgan & Wright tires, and every care has been taken to make it fit to stand the extra hard usage to which it will be subjected.
