New Fire Commissioner Named for New York
As we go to press news has been received that Mayor Walker of New York city has appointed John J. Dorman, clerk of the Court of Special Sessions of Kings county for the past six years, as fire commissioner.
Thomas J. Drennan, the retiring fire commissioner who served durig the two terms of the Hylan administration and part of the present Walker term, has been named for the position of Commissioner of Jurors of Kings County.
Mr. Drennan has been Democratic leader of the Fourth Brooklyn assembly district for many years. His new position carries a salary of $6,000 a year while the fire commissionership pays $10,000 a year.
