New House Empty
A new fire station of Georgian architecture is being constructed in Columbus, Ohio, but the city is faced with the problem of what to do with it after the house is completed. The city has no money to provide for the purchase of the necessary apparatus nor for the salary of the men to be stationed there. Although bonds could be issued, it was pointed out that the city has reached its bond issuing limit for the first half of the year. The only alternative is to transfer men and equipment from other fire stations in the city.
