New Motor Apparatus at Wausau
The new motor combination chemical and hose wagon recently ordered from the American-La France Company by the city of Wausau, Wis., was submitted to a test run from Wausau to Antigo before acceptance by the city officials. The machine has a six-cylinder motor, 105 horsepower, A. L. A. M. rating, equipped with an electric self-starter and is said to be capable of making 00 miles an hour. The sliding gear transmission gives three speeds forward and reverse. The equipment includes one 40-gallon tank, two 3-gallon tanks, one 32-ft. extension ladder and 14-ft. roof and wall ladders. Officials of Antigo are considering the question of investing in a motor service truck for their department.
