New Orleans Fireman Killed
Frederick Goesling, of Engine 27, New Orleans, was killed recently, by falling through a sliding pole shaft in the station of that company. No one saw the accident. The noise made by his fall was heard and on investigation as to its cause Goesling’s prostrate form was found. For several days he had been unwell and was advised to go home for treatment, but preferred to rest on a cot in the station. He was 54 years of age and is survived by a widow.
