New Sedwick County Station Honors Chief Davis
The recently completed Station 7 in Sedgwick County, Kan., has been named the Raymond A. Davis Fire Station in honor of the longtime chief of the Sedgwick County Fire Department. Davis is also secretary-treasurer of the Missouri Valley Division, IAFC.
Department administrative offices are underground in the new station at 4343 North Woodlawn in Wichita. In addition to the suite of five offices, the station has a conference room that can be divided into two rooms and a large kitchen. There are tables and chairs to seat 125 persons. The conference room is available for use by church and civic groups when the county is not using it.
The apparatus room has three drivethrough bays.
