NEW VOLUNTEER FIRE CO.

Providence, R. I.—A volunteer fire company has been organized as the active working force of the North Sictuate Fire Engine Association and regular meetings are to be held at the headquarters on the first Monday evening in each month, while drill meetings will be held every Friday evening until further notice. This is a part of the reorganization plan that was decided upon some time ago.

The organization was formed at a special meeting, at which President Willis Fiske read the by-laws and Secretary Everett Adams read the list of those eligible to become members of the proposed volunteer company. The officers and personnel of the new company areas follows: Foreman—Ernest M. Edwards; Assistant Foreman—Robert Spencer ; Secretary—Frederick Dinsdale, Jr.; Captain of Chemical Engine— Elmer J. Lockwood; Lieutenant—Albert K. Thornton; Captain of Ladder Truck—Albert J. Owler; Lieutenant—John J. Crowley.

The members of the Chemical Engine are Lawrence Champaign, William Stone, Herbert Edwards, Arthur Olney, Thomas Cotton, Earle Burnside, Charles Rondeau, Samuel Kettell, Leon Green, Joseph Curran, Frederick Dinsdale and Joseph St. Ange; of the Hook and Ladder: Clifton Smith, Samuel H. Bower, Clarence Edson, Chatham A. Crompton, John Dinsdale, M. P. Burnside, Walton J. Farrow, Edward Hughes, Earnest Spencer, Forrest Orr, Louis Gagnon, Charles Dinsdale, James Turner and Henry Bishop.
