New York Fire Chiefs Meet
Chief Raymond J. Brady of White Plains, N. Y., was named president of the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs at its 61st annual conference at the Concord Hotel at Kaimesha Lake, June 11-14. Other officers elected were Fire Coordinator George E. Briggs, Norfolk, first vice president and Chief William J. C.race, Johnson City, second vice president. Chief Ward A. Bohner, Kinderhook, was reelected secretary-treasurer.
Elected to the board of directors were: Chief Virgil L. Eggleston, Jamestown, for a five-year term representing the paid service; Chief John Spina, Manlius, for a five-year term representing the volunteer service; and Chief Walter R. Bell of New Rochelle for a four-year term representing the paid service. Past President Wilfrid L. Parsons will also serve as a director for a one-year term.
Professor Donald F. Favreau, executive director, International Fire Administration Institute; Dr. John A. Cranito, Center for Executive Development of the State University of New York at Albany; and Anthony R. Cranito, supervisor of fire training, New York State Division of Fire Safety, were elected to honorary membership, in appreciation for their contributions to the association.
