New York Wants Five New Houses
Requests for appropriations for five new firehouses were made August 19 at a budget hearing of the City Planning Commission New York City.
Fire Commissioner Jacob Grumet also asked for money for a combination Manattan headquarters and firestation. Plans call for housing 14 department bueaus and divisions in the new headquarters.
