The Next Generation 9-1-1 Institute (NG9-1-1 Institute) has announced the results of its 2012 election for five seats on the organization’s Board of Directors. The organization, which has nearly 2,000 members nationwide, holds an annual election for representatives from public safety, industry, and non-profit representatives. These professionals provide industry expertise, guidance, and recommendations as they work together to further the advancement of public safety communications and support the Congressional NextGen 9-1-1 Caucus.
The NG9-1-1 Institute membership elected the following five individuals to the Board of Directors:
Angel Arocho of Philadelphia, PA; Director Strategic Services, Emergency Services Program, Comcast, representing the IP-Enable Service Provider position;
Jim Bugel of Washington, DC; Vice President, Public Safety Solutions, AT&T Services, Inc., representing the Large Telecommunications Carrier position;
Nneka Ezenwa of Glenn Dale, MD; Executive Director – Federal Regulatory Affairs, Verizon, representing the Wireless Provider position;
Mark Lee of Englewood, FL; Vice President, Denise Amber Lee Foundation; representing the Member at Large position; and
Jim Shepard of Overland Park, KS; Vice President of Product Evolution, 911 Datamaster, Inc., representing the Member at Large position.
The newly elected Board members will join the following Directors of the NG9-1-1 Board:
