The National Fire Prevention and Control Administration will holds its 4th annual conference in Seattle, October 23-25, with the theme of “Life Safety.” Chief Frank Hanson of Seattle will be host.

All phases of fire protection relating to life safety will be covered in the six sessions beginning with “Setting the Stage—the Life Safety Problem.” Subject areas will cover life safety concerns from “Human Behavior in Life Safety,” to “Life Safety in the Built Environment,” “Life Safety Through Automatic Detection and Suppression,” “Fire Suppression, Rescue and EMS in Life Safety,” and “Protecting the Fire Fighter.”

The registration fee of $75 includes three lunches, two dinners, conference materials and summary proceedings. Hotel reservations at the Olympic Hotel, the conference headquarters, must be made through the National Fire Prevention and Control Administration. Single rooms will be $30 per night and doubles, $39 per night. These rates will be applicable to registrants immediately before and immediately following the conference.
