The 36 Pit fire, burning in grass and timber about 10 miles southeast of Estacada, has charred 2,300 acres and is zero-percent contained, reports oregonlive.com.
A wildfire management team based in Washington state arrived Sunday night and is shadowing the local crew that’s been coordinating resources. The Washington incident management team will take over at 6 p.m. Monday.
Structural firefighters from Clackamas and Marion counties are arriving Monday to protect buildings. So far, the fire threatens mobile homes.
