NO DAMAGES ALLOWED FOR ALLEGED NEGLIGENCE IN STARTING FIRE

The suit of the Milwaukee Bedding Company against the General Heating & Ventilating Company of Milwaukee, Wis., for damages of $62,500, arising from a fire which destroyed the plant of the former on Fourth street, two years ago, was dismissed by Judge Fritz. The plaintiff and the defendant were both found negligent, in that the bedding company had used excelsior to thaw frozen water pipes, and an employe of the heating company had used a blow torch. Twenty-six insurance companies were joined as plaintiffs with the bedding company.
