In the account of the accident at Boonton, N. J., in which the waterworks diver lost his life while endeavoring to stop the flow of water incidental to the trouble with a gate-valve, it was stated in these columns that the valve in question was made in Troy, N. Y. Such was not the case.

A burst water main at Salt Lake City, Utah, cast up huge fragments of asphalt pavement, one of which narrowly missed the famous bronze monument of Brigham Young, at the corner of Main and Temple streets.
