NOTES FROM FISHKILL-ON-HUDSON
The Lewis Tompkins Hose company No. 1 of Fishkill-on-Hudson, N. Y., will purchase a horse for pulling its heavy wagon to fires. During the past winter the members of the company found that, after hauling the wagon through the snow and over rough roads they were too much used up to render such service as they thought they ought to on arriving at the scene of the fire. A new sanitary stall has been ordered and will be placed in the company’s house as soon as possible.—Engineers from New York city are at work on a new water supply survey, near Fishkill Village.
