Estimated dollar losses caused by fire in the United States amounted to $146,318,000 in November, the National Insurance Actuarial and Statistical Association reported.

This was an increase of 9 percent from the November 1968 figure of $134,208,000 and a decrease of 6.5 percent from the October 1969 total of $156,539,000.

Fire losses in the first 11 months of 1969 totaled $1,772,592,000, which is 5.9 percent above the $1,673,845,000 registered for the first 11 months of 1968.

These estimated losses include an allowance for uninsured and unreported losses and do not include forest fires, automobile fires and other occurrences not usually covered by fire insurance.

This was an increase of 16.5 percent over $115,208,000 for November 1967 and a decrease of .4 of 1 percent under $134,802,000 for October 1968.

Estimated fire losses were $1,673,845,000 for the first 11 months of 1968, compared with $1,578,902,000 for the like 11 months last year, an increase of 6 percent.

These estimated losses include an allowance for uninsured and unreported losses.
