NVFC and Other Fire Service Organizations Release Position Paper on Proposed Department of Homeland Security

Washington, DC — The National Volunteer Fire Council and other major fire service organizations have released an official position paper on the Administration’s proposed Department of Homeland Security. The document was issued to provide guidance to Congress and the Administration on the concerns of the fire service regarding the functions and structure of the proposed new department and our priorities.

The report is entitled, “PROTECTING OUR NATION: The American Fire Service Position Paper on the Department of Homeland Security.”
