Ohio Associations of Firemen Amalgamate

During the recent convention at Lima, O., three of Ohio’s leading firemen’s associations decided to unite under the name of the Ohio Amalgamated and Protective Firemen’s Association, and will shortly take out incorporation papers. The organizations taking part in this action were the Ohio Firemen’s Assocation, the Lake Erie Volunteer Firemen’s Association and the Ohio Firemen’s Protective Association. A clause was inserted in the constitution by which the amalgamation would include all associations in the state if their consent to affiliation is secured. It is expected that eventually every firemen’s organization in Ohio will be included in the amalgamated body. Immediately after the decision of the firemen had been made, the delegates drew up a constitution and by-laws before adjourning After the constitution was prepared the election of officers took place.
